Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and licensed Psychotherapist to join our clinical team. The clinician will provide high-quality, evidence-based psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, families, and/or groups. This role requires expertise in diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, crisis intervention, and the delivery of therapeutic interventions to address a broad range of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
The ideal candidate will have experience working with a diverse range of individuals with different abilities, ages, and backgrounds and is passionate about promoting mental wellness, adheres strictly to professional ethical standards, and is committed to continuous professional development.
Key Responsibilities
- Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis: Conduct thorough initial diagnostic evaluations and assessments using the DSM-5-TR and ICD-10 criteria to accurately diagnose mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
- Treatment Planning: Develop and implement individualized, culturally sensitive, and measurable treatment plans collaboratively with clients.
- Therapy Delivery: Provide a variety of therapeutic interventions, including individual, family, couples, and/or group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities (e.g., CBT, DBT, EMDR, trauma-informed care, psychodynamic, etc.).
- Documentation: Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records, progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in compliance with ethical, legal, and Indiana state regulations.
- Collaboration & Consultation: Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team (e.g., psychiatrists, primary care physicians, case managers) and consult with external agencies, schools, or community resources to ensure continuity of care.
- Crisis Management: Provide crisis intervention and safety planning for clients experiencing acute distress or suicidal/homicidal ideation.
- Ethical Practice: Adhere to all professional and ethical standards of practice, maintaining strict client confidentiality.
- Professional Development: Participate in clinical supervision and meet all continuing education requirements for maintaining licensure in Indiana.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in a behavioral health field such as Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Clinical/Counseling Psychology from an accredited institution.
Licensure (Must possess one of the following current and active Indiana licenses):
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Note: Consideration may be given to candidates with an Associate License (e.g., LSW, LMHCA, LMFTA) who are actively accruing supervision hours toward full independent licensure.
Experience & Skills
- Minimum of 1 year of post-licensure clinical experience providing psychotherapy (preferred).
- Demonstrated proficiency in applying multiple evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
- Experience working with developmental disabilities, adolescents, severe and persistent mental illness, trauma (preferred).
- Exceptional organizational skills and ability to manage a clinical caseload efficiently.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for documentation and professional consultation.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
