What types of issues can behavior management help with?

The treatment plan for behavior management (Behavior Support Plan-BSP) would focus on identifying and decreasing problem behaviors and teaching you different or more appropriate behaviors. The most common issues addressed by our behavior consultants include physical aggression, non-compliance, symptoms of depression, elopement (running away), self-injury, property destruction, and verbal aggression, to name a few.

Who provides Behavior Management Services?

When Torres Behavioral Health receives a referral for services, we work together with our clients to find the right fit. Personality and rapport play a big part in determining if the Behavior Consultant will have success with the client. Therefore, client and guardians will have the opportunity to interview our consultants and choose who they would like to begin services with.

At any time, our clients may feel free to request a different consultant from Torres Behavioral Health or request a pick-list to pick a new Behavior Management provider from his or her case manager.
