Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Behavioral Consultant to join our team in Indiana. As a Behavioral Consultant, you will be responsible for providing consultation and support services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, as well as their families and caregivers. You will be working with a team of healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, as well as to monitor progress and outcomes. The successful candidate will have experience working with a diverse range of individuals with different abilities, ages, and backgrounds.
Responsibilities:
- Conducting assessments of individuals with behavioral health needs
- Developing and implementing treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
- Providing consultation and support services to individuals, families, and caregivers
- Monitoring progress and outcomes of treatment plans
- Collaborating with community resources to ensure continuity of care
- Providing education and training to individuals, families, and caregivers on the management of behavioral health needs
- Participating in team meetings and clinical supervision
- Ensuring that all services provided are in compliance with regulatory requirements
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in behavioral health, social work, psychology, mental health counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field
- clinical psychology, counseling psychology, school psychology, or another applied health service area of psychology, special education, social work; or counseling
- be a licensed marriage and family therapist licensed under IC 25-23.6;
- be a licensed clinical social worker under IC 25-23.6;
- be a licensed mental health counselor under IC 25-23.6 (Required)
- Experience working with individuals with behavioral health needs, as well as their families and caregivers
- Knowledge of evidence-based practices for the treatment of behavioral health needs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing work environments
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain electronic records
